Xiaomi has officially announced the release schedule for its new HyperOS 4 operating system update. The software is built on top of Android 17 and will be distributed to a wide range of devices across the company's brands, including Xiaomi, Redmi, and POCO.
The update distribution is planned in three distinct waves. The first wave is scheduled to begin in early November, followed by a second wave in mid-November. The third and final wave will start in December.
Devices included in the first wave of updates are the Redmi Note 15 series (Pro Plus 5G, Pro 5G, Pro, 5G, and standard), Redmi 15C variants, and POCO C85 and X8 Pro models. The second wave, arriving in mid-November, covers flagship and upper-mid-range devices such as the Xiaomi 15 Ultra, Xiaomi 15, Xiaomi 15T Pro, Xiaomi 15T, POCO F7 series, and POCO X7 Pro variants.
The third wave, beginning in December, includes older flagship models like the Xiaomi MIX Flip, Xiaomi 14 series, Xiaomi 13 series, and various Redmi Note 14 and POCO F6 and X6 models.
HyperOS 4 introduces several visual and functional changes. The interface features a refreshed design with transparency effects, smoother animations, and enhanced customization options. Specific UI updates include larger clocks on the lock screen, reorganized widgets and folders on the home screen, and improvements to floating window app usage.
Performance enhancements focus on faster application launch times and optimized memory management to reduce task execution delays. The update also expands the manufacturer's artificial intelligence toolkit. New AI-powered features include image editing tools, voice recording organization, text summarization, and information identification within notes.
Security and privacy measures have been strengthened with new protections for data storage and transmission. The announcement was reported based on information provided by TechTudo, citing sources including XimiTime.
