FromSoftware has delayed the release of The Duskbloods, a multiplayer game developed exclusively for the Nintendo Switch 2, until sometime in 2027. The announcement was made on October 29, 2026, via the official X account for the title.

The studio stated that during an August network test, they observed active interest in the game's core concepts, including combat, strategic depth, and player expression. To further enhance these aspects, the team decided to postpone the launch to allow for final adjustments to game rules and balancing.

The gothic steampunk title was originally revealed in April 2025 during a Switch 2 showcase. While the game is reportedly in the final stages of development, the delay aligns with industry trends where major releases often shift to avoid competing with other high-profile titles later in the year.

This marks another scheduling adjustment for FromSoftware regarding the new console. A port of Elden Ring was initially scheduled for 2025 but was released in August after reports indicated performance issues required more optimization time.
